Jakarta Drilling Society is a social non-profit organization established in 2019 that focuses on providing a drilling education platform in the nation. Since its establishment in 2019, JDS has successfully organized three routine programs. One of JDS main program is JDS Scholarship, which has run for 3 batches. A total selected 230 students (out of 1870 candidates) has participated and graduated from our JDS Scholarship program. Besides classes, JDS arranges online webinars for public, as well for campus. JDS also arranges various networking activities to encourage networking and knowledge transfer between professionals and experts.

2019
Batch 1
Initiated in Yogyakarta in 2018, JDS was brought to Jakarta in 2019 and has 60 participants from various backgrounds
2020
Batch 2
JDS gained awareness and the community is growing, 800 applicants were screened and 70 participants were accepted
2021
Batch 3
The pandemic did not stop us from learning. We received more than 1,000 applicants with 94 scholarship awardee as batch 3
2022
Batch 4
Over 900 applicants showed great interest in Batch 4. 80 participants were accepted.

Our Activities
JDS unlocks free access to drilling education to the scholarship awardee who are passionate about drilling. JDS education curriculum covers the cores of drilling activity. Other than classes, JDS enables participants to network through various activities held by the participants and alumni and gain further insights about the industry.

Our Curriculum
Jakarta Drilling Society's curriculum covers the cores of drilling operation from well design, well engineering, until the strategy to carry out well execution. With industry experts and professionals leading the class, participants will be able to learn directly from real-life experiences and be relevant in the industry. This enables participants to learn from both technical and non-technical aspect.
